Smithsonian Food History Weekend: Innovation on your Plate - Food History Festival

When it comes to food innovations, is everything old really new again? The festival presents a full day of free activities
for visitors of all ages that will spark conversations about the past, present, and future of food innovations in America.
Activities throughout the day include:

  • Modern & historic agriculture equipment on display in front of the Museum
  • Archival food films
  • Curator-led exhibition tours
  • Hands-on learning on rolling pins, cheese, and charcuterie
  • Live cooking demonstrations featuring Pati Jinich, Tanya Steel, Warren Brown, Neftali Duran, and many more

Free; seating on first come, first serve basis
